The Holy or Profane

Repeated smiles are genuinely vivid,
But the next day the face looks livid.
Many are pretentious religious converts.
Schools are replete with sexual perverts.
Wolves can hide in sheep’s clothing,
And Actors role can be very loathing.
What about those lying politicians:
Their like underhanded musicians.
Do you know that cheating students:
Are no better than biased pundits.
Who withstands a mean miscreant,
But God corrects the recalcitrant.
Has love for truth severely waned,
So why refuse Christ with disdain?
Come worship this King of Truth:
All ye that are decidedly uncouth.
Have a pure heart that’s Holy honed,
And build upon the Chief Cornerstone.
We can refuse the unholy and profane,
Only by trusting in Jesus’ spotless name.

Life’s Purpose

Everyone needs King Jesus,
For He is good and gracious.
But our sins have separated us,
Therefore, He must execute justice,
For we are all without excuses
We are all dead in our trespasses,
And His wrath abides upon us.
Death and Hell frustrate us.
He loathes our self-righteousness.
His Heart is most grievous,
But hope is for the futurist,
Who humbly accepts His holiness.
Who suffered and died in innocence.
Whose blood purchased our redemption,
He confirmed it by His resurrection.
Our Salvation is complete, by His ascension.
He sent the Holy Spirit for consolation,
That everyone may have reconciliation
When Christ sits in His Father’s Kingdom
Then Saints will reign in total freedom
All made possible by His incarnation.
Will you accept the King’s salvation?

A Little Tickle

Sometimes humor may seem kind of silly.
Positive joking can be seriously funny.
Ears enjoy hearing from friendly homies.
Life’s too short to exclude it totally.
When babies are tickled it makes them happy.
Lightly touches can relieve pain temporarily.
Words that tickle adds to jocularity, and
People like their ears tickled by a good homily.
Tickling soothes hearts like wine medically.
Chuckling the mind eases depression easily.
It is gently assuaged by friends and family.
So, lighten the soul and celebrate jubilee,
And tickle joyously to express yourself fully.
Rejoice in Christ’s redemption unalterably,
As Joy awaits you in God’s Kingdom endlessly.

Convenience

Sorry if the Lord may inconvenience you,
Maybe a fiery furnace may turn you blue.
Perhaps it is too dangerous in the lion’s den.
Or washing in the Dirty River of Jorden.
Nevertheless, we enjoy our comfort zones.
We relax with ease minus the moans.
We recline to watch our favorite game,
But nudity on T.V. may cause us shame.
Bottoms up with those mixed drinks at the founts,
And we love mouthwatering meals at Restaurants.
But, thank the Lord for His colossal triumph,
as we rely on His grace with coaxing comfort.
We are created to enjoy God’s Great Creation,
To see tall mountains and roaring oceans, and
watch the colorful red flowers waving in motion.
We have got it made in the shade, but
do not get greedy with that ace of spades.
Rest with ease, there’s medicine for the sneeze.
We must not worry when the head is hoary.
Le us Eat, drink, be merry, and enjoy life fully!
But remember thy Creator, or you will be sorry.

The Sea of Obesity

An obese man is driven away by
angry waves into the deep blue sea.
Unaware of dangers from unseen currents below;
He devours much food to his heart’s desire.
He relishes dainty dinners by gulping each bite.
He does not know that his excess portions
weigh heavily upon his hardened heart.
He continues drifting away by stuffing his stomach.
Soon he is far removed from the beach
into the perilous sea of unholy health.
He sinks deeper into a diabetic disability,
as sharks attack his limping limbs.
He is dizzily tossed by waves of hypertension.
Furthermore, he enters deeper waters of kidney failure.

He drowns slowly as his vitals wane:
as death ensues, suddenly there is no safety
in the depths of the wild blue sea.
His body is buried in a watery grave—
engulfed by the raging sea of obesity.
One can be rescued from these risky waters,
by gripping advice from health care providers.

Dear Mother

Mothers bring proud memories as years become decades

As I celebrate this Day, my heart is very grateful to my Mother

I’m thankful for times we shared in fountains of joy and laughter

I’m thankful for greeting you with kisses, and puckering lips

I’m thankful for your delectable dinners and your succulent suppers

I thank you for being beside me during my highs and lows

Your undying love has proved a consistent devotion to motherhood

I thank God for every provision you willingly and sacrificially gave

Your love wasn’t cheap, yet you continued to pour out handfuls of kindness

Your patience, thoughtfulness, and nurturing spirit is very much appreciated

May Divine Providence keep and abide with you forever!

Happy Mothers Day Mama!

I Love You Always!

Love, Darrel

The Creepy River

There is a putrefying river running rapid through homes
It penetrates delicate minds and adults living alone.
It runs deep into the recesses of people’s psyche.
Drinking from its deceptive cistern—heaps of havoc is likely.
If flows from morning till evening, perhaps non-stop.
It could seduce a woman: persuading her to shop
There is no warning for its innocuous viewers.
There are no cautions of its stinking sewers.
It is addicting as those worshipping dumb idols. But,
There is a fountain that runs clean which never idles.
This river flows from Emmanuel’s divine veins.
Drinking from it avoids a life empty and vain.
Be raptured by His love that comes from His Throne above.
And His Spirit will dwell in your heart like a gentle dove.

Lies

I was self-deceived by little fallacious Lies.
When truth was revealed: I told lies goodbye.
I believed that a John was happy with hookers,
But godly character attracts more holy lookers.
I thought bruit boldness conquers weaknesses.
But only a wise man can overcome wickedness.
I rebelled at instructions on Bible study habits.
And like Cain, my disobedience made me livid.
I thought all music were amoral based on choices.
But most music is worldly, sung by ungodly voices.
I always thought I could fulfill my dreams by myself.
But I learned God gives me strength to acquire wealth.
Lies are horses: the more you feed it the stronger it gets
Seems like the more you ride it: the better you control it.
We are fooled by lying as though it offers good success.
People like Eve lied to betray their Creator’s Largess.
There are severe consequences for every liar’s sin.
Hell awaits liars, and threatens their social trend.
We ought to control the tongue like a horse’s bit,
To avoid the wide road to hell’s dark-fiery-pit.
Then self-deception and lies will be banned.
And truth will reign throughout the land.

Love

I am afraid of love,
When I open my heart,
I invite it in, but after some time,
Love stops on a dime.
Why am I afraid of love,
For women sing: I love you
But their actions play a terrible tune.
I am afraid of its misconceptions,
When women end their erotic love,
They forlorn their unborn.
I am afraid of love
For I cannot see the end of its trial,
Perhaps it will end in denial.
I am afraid of love
It cost Jesus His sacrificial death,
But I’d rather keep my breath.
Yes, I am afraid of love,
It’s sweet as honey, but bitter as acid:
After sharing gifts, then hearts turn livid.
I’m afraid of love, because
After counting its cost,
We argue to show who’s the boss.
I am afraid of love,
For I know not where to find it,
When hearts work wickedness.
I fear love, because
If Man is deceived thru self-deception,
How can love be trusted?
God is Love
But God is greatly to be feared.
Yet He is my only hope.
He is my Rock in a weary land.
I can hide in His love.
Come let us trust in His Love,
For Love resurrected to heights above.
