His Gain or No Gain

Why enjoy sex, but suffer disease.
We hoard, but savings comes and flees.

We love our sin, but have no joy within.
We visit the doctors to cure our ills.
But pain still lingers, and leaves no thrills.

We evade the law to avoid being victims.
We’re amused, but we return to boredom.
We relish our sins, but lose our freedoms.

We eat, but still have hungry pains.
Many refuse God’s riches gains,
But why go to Hell, and suffer pain?

When Jesus Christ paid our debt,
He loved our souls even in death,
To instill His Spirit into our breath.

He died after His blood dripped red,
But He resurrected from the dead.
His enemy was conquered, and fled.

He ascended into heaven like a feather.
He is the only way to the Father,
And His truth will abide forever.

But if we sever from our Holy Lord,
Blame yourself for not heeding His Word.
There’s peace in Heaven and never a sword.

Life’s so sweet as we worship at His feet.
Come ye blessed into the joy that’s sweet.
Enter His gate freely, and be made complete.

Remember Our Love

We say, “I love you” over and over,
But when it fades we hope to recover.

By chance we split, and our end is blue.
And you want to shift to someone new.

Remember we’ll end in eternal heaven,
But we dwell in bodies with little leaven.

By chance our love grows freezing cold.
Remember our times as lovers of old.

We laughed so hard we went belly up.
We dined at night with bottomless cups.

There are no regrets we’ve spent together.
We appreciated and accepted one another.

Remember our flaws and sinful behaviors?
Somehow they skipped like turning pages.

Our future was hell bound minus the Lord,
But we’re tightly held by love’s strong cord.

I was obliged to love you and God a lot,
Now nothing can sever the love we’ve got.
